IT'S A CELEBRATION
HOW WE MET - HARVEST
We met during lockdown. A chance meeting at a friend's house. I was in hostile negotiations with my toddler regarding the wearing of pants. Mum bun, no makeup. A pair of ripped jeans, frazzled, and tired.

My friend tells me that a friend of hers will be visiting, to drop something off, as their kids go to school together. I was a little concerned because we were in lockdown, but also a little excited to see other adults.
​
I will never forget the moment that Laurence walked in the door. It sounds completely cliche, but it was like my soul knew him already.
I was so shut off from even the thought of getting back into dating or relationships, but in that moment, all I knew is that I needed to make up some excuse to talk to him. Then another excuse to keep talking to him. This big, tall, beautiful man who had literally just walked into my life. Unbeknown to me, he had just changed my life forever.

In all honesty, I think I knew I would love him from the minute he walked in the door.
HOW WE MET - LAURENCE
When we first met, it was during lockdown (one of the many). I was only there to help another friend. When I walked in the front door, there was Harvest (at that point, a person I didn’t know, not even aware that she would be there) on the lounge floor, struggling to wrestle a pair of pants onto a
2 year old.
She looked disheveled, tired, and as if she’d had enough of the everyday child struggles. I stood and watched for a short time, intrigued by who this person was. A few minutes later, I found myself in the kitchen, and in walked Harvest. Wow. My mind was blown. I thought, "I need to get to know this beautiful woman."

Harvest stood close to me, with an energetic, beautiful smile and a little bounce in her step. She said, "Hieee!" We were introduced and began talking about typical parent stuff. As bold as we both were, we quickly inquired about each other’s relationship status and family dynamics during our short ten-minute conversation. At that point, I had no idea how this chance meeting would change and impact my life.

I feel so lucky that the universe brought us together for this meeting of souls.
